Why we count the small things
A number on this page is never just a number. Behind every kit is a person at a threshold — leaving a cell, entering a hospital room, holding a child for the last time, or starting over in a place that doesn't yet feel like home.
We count kits and people reached because measurement helps us improve and stay accountable. But we never forget that the thing we are really measuring is whether someone, at a hard moment, felt seen.
